Overview
Yala peak is famous among mountaineers for its relatively easier climb and less technical challenges. The venture to the summit of Yala Peak is not very strenuous and demanding, therefore it can be favorite among mountaineers. Yala Peak is a mountain with an altitude of 5700 meters in the Langtang area of Nepal. The peak has been declared as a trekking peak by the Nepal Mountaineering Association. The summit of Yala Peak is acclaimed for its vantage point from which Shishapangama (8013m), the tallest mountain in whole Tibet region can be observed. The mountain lies just between the border of Nepal and Tibet. From its summit, several fantastic views of snow covered peaks in Nepal and Tibet alike, can be seen. Mountains like Langtang Lirung, Dorje Lakpa, Ganesh Himal, Naya Kanga, Gangchempo can be observed in its full beauty from its top.
We reach Yala Peak by driving to Dhunche or Syabru Bensi from Kathmandu Valley and then trek up to the Yala Peak region. During our acclimatization, we will be surrounded by impressive Langtang Lirung (7246m) mountain and adorable surroundings. Kyanjin Gompa is located at the base of Langtang Lirung which is an unmissable attraction as well. We will also have the opportunity to explore the beautiful Langshisha Glacier and establish a camp as high as 4800 meters from where we begin our summit journey.
