Overview

Manaslu Circuit Trek is one of the classic treks in Nepal which takes us to the true remote adventure of Manaslu. The trek is less crowded than many of the other classic treks and provides extreme adventure possibilities.Manaslu range lies east of the Annapurna range and is dominated by the massive Mt. Manaslu. Mount Manaslu is the eighth tallest mountain in the whole world. The trekking route to Manaslu is not very old and is catching attention of many adventurers lately.The trek must pass through a Manaslu Conservation Area at Jagat and thus, requires a permit to venture. The unparalleled natural beauty of Manaslu along with its cultural highlights makes this trek an unforgettable one.

Manaslu is famous for preserving its cultural heritages with many of the areas lying untainted from overcrowding. The legendary place of Gorkha is famous for the reign of Shah dynasty. Gorkha museum today still holds the ancient artifacts and belongings of Nepalese history. The holy temple of Manakamana also lies in this region. Considered sacred by many Hindu pilgrims, the temple possess the power to fulfill your wishes given that our intentions are pure and our heart is untainted. We follow the roaring river of Budhi Gandaki along the trek which is omnipresent most of the time during the whole adventure.Manaslu Circuit Trek begins from Kathmandu. We drive along the Kathmandu-Pokhara Highway to the village of Soti Khola. From Soti Khola, the actual trekking begins as we hike up and down through various terrains, ridge, rivers and landscapes to reach the village of Machha Khola. From Machha Khola, we follow a narrow trail to reach Tharo Khola, Khorlabesi and Tatopani. After reaching Jagat, we will make our way through the dense sub-tropical forests, rivers, ethnic villages and enticing sceneries. Crossing steep pathways and grassy slopes, we arrive at the small beautiful village of Deng. From here, major peaks starts to appear in the distance. Trekking from Namrung to Samagaon to Samdo, we witness some majestic golden Himalayas playing with the rising sun. Also, religious Buddhist monasteries and traditional people are a sight to behold whilst on this trek. After acclimatizing ourselves in the village of Samdo, we pass through a seasonal Tibetan market of Larke Bazaar and descend to the river of Budhi Gandaki again. Witnessing the Larkya Glacier, we climb to Dharamsala where we can see ancient cultural monasteries and shrines. Following numerous vivid settlements, glacial lakes, scenic valleys and snowy peaks of Cho Danda, Larkya, Himlung Himal and Annapurna, we reach Bimthang.In Bimthang, we can head out to a nearby ridge to experience majestic views of Manaslu, Lamjung, Himlung and Cheo mountains. After a pleasant stay in Bimthang, we head to village of Tal, crossing Manaslu Conservation Area and Marshyangdi River. The village of Syange is not very far away with its picturesque landscapes and Himalayan vistas. From Syange, we depart to Kathmandu.
